Portfolio

Here is my portfolio, which contains two projects I have worked on during my time at UW-Madison.

Composting Infographic

This social media graphic for UW Slow Food is an informational post I created about composting. The goal of the post was to inform the Slow Food community that we had recently partnered with a composting service to decrease our food waste. I did research on composting as well as Green Box, which was the organization Slow Food had partnered with, and created the social media post using Canva.

Social Media Marketing Casebook

This casebook for Journalism 465 was a social media marketing plan for a real startup company called tree3. While this was a group project, I was responsible for designing and editing the final casebook, and I have attached part of it to this post (the full document is about 90 pages long). The goal of the project was to create a strategy that emphasized one of tree3's core "pillars" of business; the pillar my group was focused on was how the technology we were marketing could be used for philanthropic purposes. This project was completed over the course of one semester.

Pinterest

As part of my internship with the Stevens Point Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, I learned how Pinterest is used for tourism marketing. Pinterest is the go-to social platform for people seeking travel inspiration. My work on this project helped generate leads to our website for travelers interested in visiting Central Wisconsin. To achieve this goal, I researched the best times to post on Pinterest, then used Canva to create Pins that correspond to different blog posts on the SPACVB website. Finally, I utilized Pinterest's scheduling tool to ensure Pins would be posted continuously. Below are two examples of different types of Pins I created.

Blog Posts

Another crucial component of my internship with the SPACVB was writing blog posts that promoted different local businesses and activities in the Stevens Point Area. As a graduate of one of the top journalism programs in the United States, I am no stranger to creating compelling pieces of writing and utilizing a tone that conveys a brand's voice to its target audience. Attached is a blog post that I researched, wrote, and edited for the Stevens Point Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
